If 88 westbound remains closed, what do you guys suggest as an alternate route?

I am coming down 81 from Canada to Binghamton turning east on 17. The 511ny.com site shows a road closure where 88 and 81 meet.

If I stick to 81 and 17, am I ok, or is the closure at 88 going to give me problems? The map makes it look like it is the 81/88 interchange that is closed.

Thanks!

John

I am local to the area and if you are coming down 81 to 17 there is no issue at the 88 interchange. The floodings were on 88 only and as of this afternoon 88 westbound is open but 88 eastbound remains closed. You are good to go...

Hey, watch this!
How's 28 from the Hudson to 30? I went to the 511NY site and it looks like it is open but I'm hoping a local can give me the real skinny.

I am up in Phoenicia on 28 and it's open .511 says there's some sort of restriction at the junction of 28&30 but reports both lanes are open to local traffic.Phoenicia got hit hard ,wiped out one of the main bridges. Here's a pic of the Phoenicia bridge after the flood.

Roads and field are fine. Used 84, 17, and 30 yesterday.
