Quad goes crazy when FPV equipment is turned on !

my Quad (FH-X46 / AQ50D board) flies great and very stable.

installed a new FPV system onto the frame - 1.2GHZ 700MW and DX201 camera (no OSD). FPV gear is powered by its own battery.

When the FPV battery is plugged the Quad tilts hard to one side and looses all trimms. still controllable but very different than before. tried with a Hitec FM Rx and the problem persist (also, only when the FPV battery is plugged in).

Any idea what is going on?

This should really be in the FPV thread, What frequency is your rc link operating on? If its 2.4ghz do you have a low pass filter installed? If not you should have. Also you should have your reciever on the quad as far away from the vtx as possible. Can you post a photo of how its mounted? Your vtx may be choking your reciever.
