Quote of the Day: We Are All Non-Keynesians Now

Rick Perry, who in two sentences illustrates enough basic understanding of how economics actually functions to replace 10 Obamas, maybe more.

Quote:
The other thing this president's done, he has proven for once and for all that government spending will not create one job. Keynesian policy and Keynesian theory is now done. We'll never have to have that experiment on America again.
He's wrong of course. They'll just conclude the right people didn't try it, or they didn't care enough, or the stimulus wasn't big enough. But it is certainly satisfying to see economic reality finally seeing the light of day in terms it needs to be discussed in during a major public event. Keynes ideas should be as well known and well dissected in public in order to innoculate future generations about the disaster they are and the wealth they destroy.

Mother Jones laments...

you are right...I expect the Prez to claim that Gov does.He dropped a clue at the Detroit Labor day speech...

'The crumbling infrastruture of our country needs rebuilding....yada..yada'

So,with mucho Government money we'll see contracts awarded to a few minority owned construction firms.

Why not just unravel all the restrictions & tax laws that hinder new business growth.?Offer one-year tax incentives to open new services nationwide.?

...prepare for new speech failure tonight.

That Perry quote was the best line in the debate. My concern is that it is just that, a line ( of B.S. ) from Perry and not a heartfelt belief.
Considering this guys history he has a loooong way to go to convince me he is for real.

I do know that a mere 3 years ago, during the height of the Wall Street meltdown, all the pundits claimed, "Lassiez-Faire economics was dead."

Does the GOP really expect us to have such a short attention span?

I'll bet the Democrats will contribute to Rick's Campaign!

Supporters of Texas Governor Rick Perry are not going to like this article at all. Right now, Republicans all over the United States are touting Rick Perry as the “Republican messiah” that is going to come charging in to save America from the presidency of Barack Obama.

That's idiotic...

Laissez-faire is merely a principle that can never be extinguished, muchless dead.

Laissez-faire is as natural as crude oil.

Laissez-faire is what naturally happens whenever two individuals enter into commerce with eath other.

Laissez-faire is what happens when two children trade baseball cards.

Only the UNnatural Keynesian garbage REQUIRES government involvement and is something that actually can be killed, if people have the will to end it.
