i haven't found a need yet to do the prop mod. V8, and rest that have done the mod. is the difference significant?

I do notice when i fly a Thunderpower 6s 5000ma 25c it feels heavy. its almost a dog in the air. But when i go to a 6s4500ma 55c its noticeably faster, more agile.
then i put in a 6s 65C 4500ma pack its like a whole different plane from the 25C bat.

Granted its due to the power supply. So would doing the prop mod realy give me better performance? I can keep up and in some cases pass up gas powered warbirds.

I think it's a preference thing. I know a lot of warbird flyers that like to slow-scale fly, and I know a lot of warbird flyers who prefer rockets. I like both styles. For me, flying her stock on a 6S 5000 45C pre prop mod, WOT is just not very fast. Maybe 55-ish? Same setup, adding the prop mod it looks like 75-80-ish. A very clear noticeable speed increase. I love it. With my Castle Ice 100A ESC and 20APro BEC I don't have to worry about anything. I can fly WOT as much as I want, but I still prefer a mix.

I like graceful, scale flight at altitude and I love all those added horses at low WOT passes.

War,

Aros couldn't have said it better. Its a very noticable difference in speed w/o much loss in flight time.

I've gone threw about 4 broken props and they do not have the air bubble problem that the P47 or corsair have. So they seem better built and safe. Or was lucky on the batches I got...
Thanks v8! That is reassuring.

Only thing I would recommend when doing the prop mod is check the prop screws every so often just to make sure they didn't loosen up. Doesn't take long to take of the spinner just to check those screws every so often. Or at least add a drop of CA to the screw and nut when you 1st do the mod.

Nice set up. I was wondering if I should install the Dlux 100amp esc in my 1700mm P-47 with a vario prop.

Nice work there flight, vario looks good! You ditched the less than scale prop for a more scale prop and ditch a more scale spinner for a not so scale spinner. Guess there's a trade off... Are the blades replaceable?

Jess they are replaceable and I bought a couple extra in case. There is no other 4-1/4 spinner out there to be had so I was stuck w this alternative
