Nothing is wrong if it works. It's just that the standard deans connector is only rated up to about 50 or 60 amps. This plane can, with certain mods, pull more than that.

Thanks guys. The salesperson at BH was as confused about the difference as I was! He said that the retract upgrade (version 2) did not apply to the BlitzRCWorks plane. I want to be sure to get version 2. What words do I use with BH to do so?

I will have to check my connectors. Are Deans Ultra connectors rated higher?

Sounds like BS to me. The BlitzRCWorks 1.7m plane IS FMS, simply re-branded.

But the Blitz might not be V2 (or have the upgrades).... if they had lots of stock (old).
And thus they say "there is no V2 of that, it doesnt apply".... sort of leaving you wandering "Oh it must be a good version", maybe.
So you would want to make sure.

For what it's worth I changed mine out to EC5's....Deans are only rated to about 65A and this plane can pull up to 75 or so @ WOT...which is why they have an 85A ESC stock. Even XT-60's would be a better choice than deans as they are rated up to about 90A

Welp either hobbyking has the knockoffs for 1/4 the price of the eflite/losi. So horizon, local hobby shop, or HK. I've used all 3 sources

Just got off the phone with BH. Turns out that they do not take orders over the phone. Only from their website. The nice lady on the phone was able to confirm all the multiple branding issues. Same plane FMS / BlitzRCWorks / Airfield. But, she said that they do not have any version 2s yet. To order or not to order...?

I don't think she knows what she's is talking about referring to v2, v1 to them could be v2 to us. I received mine from BH and it is v2 Frankie. If your really that unsure order the Redtail and it most definitely be a more recent than Frankie stock.
