Got my crumpled up box on Saturday, but no damage to any of the components..very well protected/ packaged. Very nice looking plane. I'm planning on building it with the SFG's and no LG. I flew one with no SFG's and it seemed to snap out easily. Also, got a bunch of 1550's to keep me busy for a couple of hours.

Getting ready to order one of these, just trying to get some gear together. I see you are going with 1550's makes me think before I buy batteries. I was going to do 1800's.

Lighter the better...I think. The one I flew had 1550's and it was a rocket. I think I flew for about 10 minutes.

You must have great throttle control. I fly my Yak on 2250's most the time and only fly for 7 to 7.5 minutes to be kind to my lipo's, hitting around the 80% mark most the time at that too.

Anyway I am so stoked to say that two of my mates and I have Extra Slicks on the way to us thanks to Brad releasing a few to us in the UK and thanks to Mark at Park Aero keeping us in the loop. As far as I know there are only six in the country at the minute, one that Gary Holland has and five that came into the country today. I feel honoured and am looking forward to getting my hands on em

Could you post your set up, I'm not getting anywhere near 10 minutes with my setup and I'm using 1800's

Thanks

I'm using G-Force 1800's and have cut my timer from 8 minutes back to 7 minutes, the more I fly this plane the harder I fly. It was ok on 8 min but when I checked my voltage readout under full power verical climb after 7 minutes it's almost at 9v so I'm cutting it back to see where I am with my charging capacity. I could fly a little easier for the last minute or so but it's really hard to just take it easy with this plane. I have cut my rudder rate back to 80% and it has helped me in ke spins and flat spins. As much rudder authority as this plane has it presents absolutely no problems. If I'm really careful with the throttle it will ke loop in less than a 10 foot circle. Unless I have a major repair to do it now resides permanently in my car since fall has arrived and the temp is lower outside.

I'd say so...it felt like I was flying for a good amount of time before landing.

Just ordered a bunch of 1550s! I'll let you all know how they go!

If anyone wants some stick time on this plane with either 2200 or 1550s, come find me at E-Nall! Anyone is welcome to fly it!

Going from 2200 to 1550 has transformed my Yak-55 and SU-29! I can't enough of flying them now. With the 2200 I was using a 11x4.7 prop, I have since switched to the 10x4.7 and couldn't be happier. I want to try the 10x3.8 next. At 6 minutes of varied 3D my 1550's are around 3.7v/cell.

I didn't have very good luck with the G-force batt. So I changed to Skylipo 1800 40c ,WOW what a diff. getting 7-8 min of super power, and the motor runs cooler! Got them at hobbypartz same price as G-force.( my g-force after only a few flights are starting to puff)
