Wayne I know how you feel since the Yak has a sweet spot in my heart to the point I've made sure I always have one on hand. Now with that said my new favorite has become the Extra Slick, the response we are receiving from all the previous Telink model owners are surprised we took something great and redesigned if for something they liked even more so.

Awesome vid Mike. Loved the music. I'm thinking hard about lights. I don't have a plane with them yet and urs looks killer. Thanks for sharing.

I did the maiden flight yesterday, all went well. After a little bit of trimming I went crazy on the sticks and all I can say is that this plane fly's awesome!!! KE loops for days! I have a feeling that this one is going to get flown more now than my Yak or SU.

And yes, it would be nice to have a lighting kit for this one too!

I like the violent stuff!
I pulled the hammer on this one. "Put me in coach, I don't smoke." Thinking about moving up to a 103G for this one. Yak is nose heavy with a 72G, how does the 103G do in this bird? Thanks.

I like it with 103 grams on the nose. Might try my second one with a 90 gram Motrolfly.

I run an 85g motor and 2200's on my Yak, thats probably close to the same weight as the 103 and 1800's, it flys great and handles the wind awesome, but i think the little lighter set is the way for me. It is cool to fly 3D for 10 min though

Yea I tried the 2200's and 103 gram motor on the Suk and it was just too heavy. 103 and the 1800's are a good mix for me. I'll build my second one a little lighter but not much. Specially with the weather changing. Winds get pretty choppy this time of year.

Congrats James. Probably get most of it done tonight, but you might need the overnight, especially when using Welders. Waiting on stuff to dry kills some of the build time.

Arrived at Triple tree for Joe Nall Eweek. Could not bring any balsa because i was coming from ky for work and stopped at Nall on the way home and space was limited. So the big extra Slick took alot of abuse today Got lots of comments about the Slick, people liked it. Got wind near the end of the day..the slick handled it fine.

For those that have not been to Triple Tree Aerodome, plan a trip...this place is awesome, great for camping, or motor homing and it is huge. Well worth the trip.

One more day of flying tomorrow then back home to FL

Got my new kit yesterday. Cut the ailerons and did the hinge thing. Laid the two halves down on a flat surface to glue them together. They are nice and symetrical at the trailing edge and about two thirds of the way up. Then one side starts to lift, the entire leading edge of one wing is one quarter inch higher than the other. Now I'm a fussy old machinist and my work is measured in millionths of an inch. I know there plenty of fudge factor allowed in foam planes that go 30 MPH but this is BAD. I was not happy with the machining on my last Yak either, there seems to be a quality control issue at Telink. I'm talking about things the average machine shop gopher would spot in an instant. Does anyone LOOK at them before they go in the box? How long does it take to notice the thrust angle for the motor mount is milled in the WRONG direction? Took me one second. Before you put them in the box, make sure the two wing halves LINE UP!!!!!

Wow thats the first I've heard of any quality issue's with Telink. All of mine have been spot-on! I'am sure if you contact Brad it will be taken care of in short order. As far as the motor mount go's I don't think there is a thrust angle milled in?
