Ok, I'm a little late on this bandwagon, but I just ordered a Extra Slick. The plane looks awesome and I love big foamies. And the guys are twisted hobbies are great to work with as well. I got to fly a buddies Telink Su-29 and it was really smooth, but I had to get something a little different.

My planned setup is:
Omega 72g (or Eflight Power 10 or 480, have them all sitting in a box)
Turnigy Plush 40A esc
10x4.7 or 11x4.7 slowfly prop
3s 2200 packs (until I buy some 1500mah packs)
HS-65MG or HS-85MG (have both, not sure which to use yet)
Spektrum AR 6100

You might as well stick with the 2200s a lot of people use those and add a little weight to the tail to the tail to get the cg right and it's still floaty. A little more balsa like actually.

It's a fun airplane for sure, you're going to love it. The Omega 72 should work well. Use your HS-65MG's, they will be more than adequate. Enjoy!

Just whacked 5 packs through this morning, and this thing does the most beautiful snap to hover maneouvers... simply wonderful... just snaps and sits up on its tail like a well trained animal... never done a good one until today. Easily repeatable too. Excellent airframe!

Yeah,it's a E-Flight Park 480 1020 KV. I like to run 11 X 5.5-11 x 7 E props on it! I've also ran a 12 X 6 E prop on it,but it's way over powered with it! I think I could rip the front of the plane off,accelerating out of a hover! Ron

Was blowing, but steady, so I had a blast with snap to hovers, touch and go's, KE and flat spins. I love this machine!!
Telink edge 540 slick snap to hover (6 min 1 sec)

Rick, what are those angled spins your doing? Are they KE spins with heaps of aileron input to stop the wings going parallel to the ground?

Reverse KE spins. Full up elevator and right aileron (pull full down and right on the stick). Gives an upright flat spin also

I like the violent stuff!
Daloaf, have not seen you since Huckfest in Victorville! Love to get up to Half Moon Bay sometime. You'll love this plane! I'm running the 72G Omega with a 12x6E. I went 65 MG's with an 85 MG for the elevator. May as well you'll need weight in the tail. I added a steerable rudder wheel also and still had to add a half ounce of weight to the tail. All the guys in West Coast 3D have flown it and love it. HAVE FUN !!!

Nice Rick. Love how you got those spins right down into a touch and go and straight into a snap to hover. Sure are mixing it up

i posted this on owners thread but for those running 72g with sunrise esc.. did you had to change something in settings? for me motor simply quits sometimes and only way to get it back is zero throttle and throttle back up..
