Now this is where I need help..

Tx/rx what could i use for a tx/rx that will give me about 2km?
Lip battery: 3s 1600 and 1700 will run tx and plane off it. I will be flying in a well known area so i don't need gps. Possibly my roof.. will I be able to fly for very long and will I be able to get off the ground?
Thanks recommendations for mtor /esc /tx/rx will be appreciated

I think there is two tx problems to over come on a rc car. One, range on the ground is shorter than in the air. The other is separation between the Tx and Rx. The more powerfull the Tx, the farther your going to want it from the Rx and servos. Catch 22 we call the here in the States.

There is a few truck based FPV threads here, you should go there and see what they are running. I would guess a 300mw Tx with a clover leaf antenna would work good. But that's a guess on my part. Lower mw to play nice with the other electronics and the CL antenna to help with the multipathing.

Oh well I/still need a radio with a good range to control the plane so who knows how far i can go. Would a dx5e be good for long range? Ifci put a long antenna on the rx?

Ummm... Here is a quote from you yesterday @ 10:30pm.

That is a GROUND based radio. Thought you were doing ground based fpv.

Perfect. Just make sure to mount the vTx as close as possible to the Rx. Good Luck.

OK, that's a bad joke. If you searched and read a LOT on RCG, you would know that 2.4 is not the best choice for fpv. FM is a better choice.

Yah I was looking at the futaba radios but i can't find a good cheaper one around 200$ I guess the best bet would be to look at the classifieds. Right?

I bought a 7 ch Hitec used for $50 with a adj channel fm module. Took the module off and put a dragon link on it. I need more channels, 7 isn't enough. Might put the DL on a JR 9503.

I need more channels for flaps and LED lights.

How much is a dragon link? And what does it do? Could I put it on the stock easy star radio?

You dont need one of those. You have to open the transmitter and solder wires and add resistors and stuff.

You just need a good FM 72mhz 6 channel radio. That would work best.
