Video

Snowgoose 20 for 6400


snowgoose 20" for 6400 and similar receivers. 1015 motor with kenway gear box, gws 6/3 prop and 1 cell 240 hyperion.
wing is 1mm front half, top and botom (airfoiled); 2mm rear and elevons; canard, fins and keel are 5mm-paper removed; fuse flat and top 3mm; 1mm cf rods on fuse, canard and pushrods; nose epp foam; uhu por glue. 68 gr auw.
wing has a step in the middle to increase stability and to make structure stiff without cf rods. elevons only. fixed elevator.

Thanks for the video. Very nice! Is that 5mm depron? Do you have any plans?

thanks. just added details. am working on another version with elevator/ailerons to compare. will show here. then i will show drawings. it's still a work-in-process.

Good flights - So smooth and stable. The second video looked to slow down very nicely as though its carrying less weight. Did you only change the power system for the second flight?

good eye! i just increased the 'up' trim to ease on the throttle for climb-and then it slowed down too. otherwise same everything.
am still playing with details. and another 1 is ready (waiting for good weather), with moving elevator on the canard instead. the idea is to improve response on up and down signals, trying to do loops-otherwise with canards it's difficult, if not impossible-unless maybe if you have lots of power. let's see how it works.
