Today is the first day I thought I would take a good hard look at the setup of my GCP.
I have set up lots of helis, but this was to fly out of the box.
Not even close. First I got my digital caliper out and not one of the links from the servos was the same. In fact the one on the left was way off (heli kept going left) hmm! So I locked the gyro down and the left servo horn is a full notch off. I unscrewed it put it down one and now they all line up. Made all links the same. Took off and the heli is hands off in 3 axis.

If you didn't break it in like you should of by stomping on it first,,of course it would split.. They even have a video of how you are to break them in before flying with them.. Why can't you guys follow simple instructions????

I was looking at the GCP on walkeras site and the main and tail blades look different than normal. The tail looks like the one from the new Mini Cp, but i don't know what the mains are.

Edit: The tail is the same as stock just not colored.

The pictures on the web are old and show the blade grips without the added reinforcements

Yeah man. I am a total newb and I expected everything ready to go. After looking here, searching, and asking a lot of questions. While my cp is broken waiting for parts, I redid the whole setup cuz everything was off.

I do think it was a good experience all in all, it was fun pulling things apart, and now I know alot more. I also think they should offer a fully setup heli too, even if its for a small price.

Anyway, while I am down and educating myself, I decided to buy a bunch of spare parts, a second genius, a few tools, and a dual brushless kit.

I am going to be doing flips soon, newb or not! Bring it on!

Looks like you found your brand of heli crack.

Welcome, we meet here everyday. Have you found a sponsor yet. You already are past step one..recognition.

I got mine for my son and it is a pos. I had to go out the day after Christmas and get him a blade mcx2 to make up for it. I mess with it because it is so hard to control. The control surface are like up, mid, and down. I know it's just a bad one.
