Can I build something around this motor?

I enede up with a monster truck motor. It's a Kyosho K-speed reverse rotation. Part number is 70672. I also have a master airscrew 2.5:1 gearbox. Can I build a plane around this, or should I pawn it off for something better? I would like to end up with either an E-glider, or a nice, not too hard to fly scale like plane.

I've never tried a runway takeoff or landing.

I liked a GWS cub I saw last week, but I think this motor is likely very heavy for that.

Tks

m... not really, if you just build it light. Lipolys also help, but are not necessary. A great bargain battery are 8x300 NiMH from radical rc

My searches on that part # keep coming up "Magnetic Mayhem Rev".
If it is indeed a Magnetic Mayhem, you bet you could, but nothing in the 'GWS' class.
If you want foam with a 'taxi around the parking lot, ROG' capability, my first thought is the T-52.

Try a search on "mayhem".

Cool, that's the number one candidate so far, Any thing similar that will glide too?

A 2M ARF glider maybe, but that GB might be a little tough to stuff in the nose.

Yeah. I think I'll stick with somthing like the t-52. I have a couple of sail planes on the way anyhow.

Single-task at best...

Jim,

The Mag Mayhem is well known as a good motor, and not just amongst the foam-fliers either!

This'll get more coverage if I move this thread to Power Systems.
