Could an EDF be converted?

My dream is to have a Turbine jet.I keep cringing looking at Jet kit prices, even the smaller, not so attractive ones are expensive!
If I were to get a Composite EDF kit and reinforce it with more fiberglass, would the jet survive? Of course I'd get good electronics and such..

I worked out some math and a Kingtech K80E would be a possibility if I save for a few months. I'm not expecting this to be a 1 or 2 month project, I know it would take time and that is part of the satisfaction.

All input is GREATLY appreciated.

PS. I'm thinking a 100mm+ kit

Cheapest but very good quality entry level jet on the market.

you can buy the combo and save a ton! Comes with gear and can take a Kingtech 80
