Wing mounted, moved to tails, going well. Really enjoying the build.

Spending the rainy afternoon making balsa dust; specifically, sanding the bevel into the outer wing panel root ribs.
I've got them to fit very nicely, and made sure that the sweep is the same on both panels.
Next up, gussets and sanding panels and then CF capstrips.
I'm going to add shear webs to the outer panels as well.
I'm a lead foot on the winch!

Al knows that my pics are on FB....

I'm capping the ribs with CF tomorrow and possibly building the rudder.
I have a "onethermal" built stab set for my Oculus, so thanks, Clarence!

Off topic a bit but on route to Toledo we stopped at a place in Erie Pa. The people we saw turned out to be the sons of the person who bought my fathers scratch built full scale sailplane. He built this in 1939 and the plane went on to win several American and Canadian Championships. Small world. Aparently the sailplanes horz stabs could fold up for transport back to the flying field. Merrill...sorry for the thread heist.

This is great to see so much going on...and don't worry about hijacking the thread.

Well I have built the stabs for Oculus # 22 and I have gotten part of the way on the main panel...this time I get to build at a slower pace.
