Looking good Nick. This is actually going to be turned into a plug for a FG mold isn't it?

Hi Bill, yes its a plug,

Im watching the build of the full size one in our factory, they are just putting the flange on the top in preparation for making the deck mould. The boat has to be ready in 12 weeks for some big race in the US.

With all those ribs throughout the hull how will you have space inside to put anything in there. Is it heavy ?

I must have missed something. But she's going to be a thumping big boat.

It's just a plug to make a mold from, the actual boat will be fiberglass made from the mold.

The basic deck is finished, I've got to take it into work to get the cabin shape carved.

The build of the plug is progressing, fairing about 2 hours a week

Here's a vid I fond on you tube of the boats racing including the Maritimo boat at Key West world's Nov 2011, came second even being nearly half the HP of the first boat and average speed only 5 Mph down at 115 Mph

Considering the number of fatalities in that race it very well cost you more than that.
