The wind is beyond my comfort level. I will not be flying. We may drop by to say HI, though.

that's gonna hurt...
Good decision Katie -

A formula to describe todays flying -

Terrible down wind launch + killer turbulence = breakfast with friends

We made a trip to San Carlos to find J&M Hobbies. Oh, we found them, and found out they're closed on Sundays.

A good day for shopping and building.

See y'all Friday.

I have a marine style 12v battery that needs to be kept active. Do you think we van put it on retrieve duty for a couple cycles? We charge it, y'all discharge it, repeat.

Lead acid batteries don't require or improve with cycling. Discharging causes wear, deep discharging much more so. What would help is a few days of de-sulfate treatment from his new charger.

For storage, keep an eye on the electrolyte (liquid acid) levels under the caps, and top off the charge with a quality charger monthly.

LiPo batteries require a different maintenance procedure.
