SAL-SA: A Flying-Wing Discus Launch Glider

I don't know how many people in here check the Hand Launch forums, but I figured a short cross-post would be acceptable.

I just finished my latest DLG; the SAL-SA. I ordered it from Korea two weeks ago. It's $230 shipped. Took about a week to arrive. It could be built in a few hours (including epoxy cure time), but I went pretty slow on mine.

It's designed around the Dymond D47 servos. I did a little extra cutting and dropped Hyperion DS-09s in mine.

It came up at 244 grams including the 35 grams of lead needed in the nose for balance.

Anyway, just thought you guys might be interested in a non-powered wing.

Here's a build thread:

I'm searching the web for discus gliders. My zagi has saddle 2200 batteries and a special go pro angle. I would love a hard point on the wingtip.

Super amazing cover job. 10/10 instant classic ~

I've had my eye on the SAL-SA for a while, thought they were out of production....but no! I'll have to order one. Thanx for the update. However, I don't understand your move away from D47s. I have had excellent experience with D47s
