Just as an example . I'll probabaly do urethane vs. the neoprene. I have a urethane on my Redbird, and it looks like new even with countless hours flight time on it. Now to get my butt in gear...STILL havent taken the 550 out of the JetRanger...

Cap, what's your final tally on the HK600 stretched to a 700. What parts and part numbers did you get to make this work?. I see this thread is pretty old but im hoping to wake y'all up.

All that is , is a 700 boom and a 700 TT which ends up making it longer then an actual 700 unless you cut both down.

Basically all one really needs is the belt , a 700 boom (which gets roughly 49mm cut off of it to make the correct 700 length) , 680-710mm blades, and I installed the Thunder Tiger 8t pulley on the rear of my tail rotor gearbox to speed up the tail.

Other than that maybe re-gear (lower pinion) or go with a lower Kv motor , I went with a Z-power A-50 780Kv motor and an 11t pinion running on a 6s pack on mine.

Yeah this is an old thread sence this I have stretched a T500 into a T550 , a T500 into a T600 , and a T450 into a T500 all with great success.

Awesome, Thanks for the response and help guys. I have an extra set of 600 frames that i bought from fpainter and quite a few spares from my hk600 that i want to stretch to a 700. I'm converting my current hk600 to a scale airwolf with cnc retracts then i'll start the build on this stretched bird. Thanks again.

I looked around on Ebay for that Bell 206 and all i've been seeing is for a 700 class. Hey!! whatch'a talking about?, are you saying my 600 will not be proper since it has retractable wheels? , lol. . If all else fails, i can just drive the heli on my front yard , haha..

My neighbor has a 90 sized 222 with retracts. It is really cool looking on a high speed low pass. he even bounced it on its belly once on a high speed pass with no damage.

It uses Graupner mechanics and is converted to electric with a big old Scorpion in it.

Finally been getting some progress done on the 206L and thought I would share .

The horizontal and vertical fins in the last 3 pics are just dry fitted and not glued or anything , that is way they are sagging downwards.

The upper cable cutter is just setting in place for the pics as well and won't get install permanently until the black , and dacals are applied then the clear will get shot on.

Enjoy the pics.

Here is your first look at the paint job

Just finished peeling off all the liquid mask and other masking to reveal one bad a$$ looking heli.

It almost turned out exactly like I envisioned it would , I still have a few small issues to deal with as far as masking lines and such but nothing I can't deal with.

I'm going to give it a couple more days before I start to apply the Callie Graphics and than spray the clear coat.

I think all in all it came out pretty close to the real one as I could get it , although there are a few areas I would like to do a little different if I had the chance.

A proper Helicopter, I don't like the pitot tube(or whatever that is sticking out) holder, though. It ruins the look, even on the full size one.

Awesome Cap. Looks great. Those colors really pop against the black. Where did the cable cutters come from?
