Heli-Max RTF Nano FP Micro Maiden Hover

Just arrived, had to check out the small Nano heli.

This one is not quite the stable series, but loads of fun, managed a fairly decent hover, should be great indoor fun, easy on the inputs. Purchased on a return sale around $80 complete RTF with Lipo flight battery and charger.

RC Heli-Max Novus Nano FP Micro Helicopter RTF Ready To Fly Maiden Hover (1 min 35 sec)

Again even some of the larger micro Novus models will fly more solid, but its a hoot.

Looks like a rebadged Walkera CB100. That would mean Walkera is going to do something with the CB100.

Nano series been around awhile, the slightly larger micro series are more stable, but these are the lower priced ones. We did fly this Nano outside last night with zero winds, gave controls to one our flyers, issue on first attempt, then easily hovered, as he has flown micro copters.

I foresee brushed motors, flybarless, Devo 8 and a $300 price tag.

That seems to be Walkera's latest strategy; make it brushed, bundle it with a Devo 8, slap on a new painted canopy and charge $300 for it.

I'll play with the Nano, still fun.
Work on orientation as needs attention here.

Maybe thats the right strategy what is a MSR $170 and a DX7 $250 ish - seems like a bargain to me - brushed motors do seem to be making a comeback with people asking for lighter models - although I do find it a little amusing at the time walkera are trying to lighten up things many of the E-Flight hobbyists are trying to find a way of replacing the lighter brushed motors with the heavier brushless motors /ESc

PS Balr its a conventional head with paddles rather than the stabilizing head on the CB100 - looks more like a double brushless 4#3B to me

Regards David
