To get an accurate reading you need to clock passes in opposite directions and then average the two. The Stryker 180 has been clocked in opposite passes with an average of 54 mph which is pretty impressive for a stock ultra micro. Sounds like you guys are probably doing better than that with the faster one of yours.

Red or White is normally +, Black, Brown or Blue is normally -

if you have 3 wires Red/Black/White, then Red is +, Black is - and the White is signal.

The White and the black wires connect to the board on opposite sides of the board. They don't connect to each other.
UNGN,

You are exactly correct. They do connect on opposite sides of the board. I put the ESC under a magnifier and it is obvious. Should have looked first.

Thanks,

Allan

The 54mph pass was done on a 5030, it is much faster on the 4x4.

After flying the 3s polecat and stryker 180 (both on the stock and a 4x4) back to back, the stryker can't even touch the polecat in terms of speed.

I agree. Flew my pole cat then my stryker. The stryker felt like a slow flyer haha.

Because it's completely un-scale

Let's say it's a 1:32 plane scale.

This polecat is doing 50mph.

32x50 = 1600mph. I have yet to see a full size pole racer do 1600mph (mach ~2.1)

Bonus points for someone who can slalom street lights at 50mph with this plane

The Scale on a polecat is closer to 1/12 scale. It's based on a pretty small plane

That'll be an interesting pylon race.

but that is still in excess of 600 scale mph, .78 mach at sea level, which makes it faster than Rare Bear (in scale, of course)

Seeing as how you're a rotary enthusiast, I'd imagine you would have become accustomed to that long ago. :P

9 rx7's later.... lol

My current FD is in pieces hahahaha, hopefully not much longer though. After vacation hopefully it will be running.

Polecat has been treating me well so far. Needs more speed though

Aileron servo stuck today in flight on my PoleCat purchased Aug.18 and the resulting crash wiped it out. Only 14 total flights and no crashes, well one I guess. HH is sending me another plane and I am thankful for that but unless they make some changes to their UM's I won't be buying anymore of them. The replacement plane will get an immediate 2s upgrade. Won't help the servo problems associated with the PoleCat but will make it a lot more fun to fly until it happens again.

Dude, this is awesome! I see this in my Polecats very near future! So, what's the cost for this? Motor, battery, ESC and other items?

AP05 from Hobbyking- $16.90 plus shipping

Emax 7 Amp Brushless Motor ESC from HeadsUp RC- $16.95 plus $2.00 shipping. This is a great online hobby store. Very fast shipping

Diode is a couple bucks or less.

2S batteries- I'm planning on series connecting some Hyperion 1S 240mah I have on hand.
