So the trick is for the assistant software to see the changes, the unit must be power cycled everytime you do a write...don't really know if that's an assistant or a FW issue.
Also noticed now that my set failsafe values are all at max although my Rx is setup to keep everything centered except for throttle :S

must be recent, as i have never had to do that to see any changes before.

Plus im still trying to find out where is the option for increasing servo travel limit ? because it wont let me alter past a 1000

so no way i can do 90 ?

From my initial ground tests on 5.10, the +/- 1000 now provide you with an increased range of travel, no need to enable or adjust anything

OK...

First two flights seem ok.. Not able to try RTH or the new POI, since we have thunderstorms right now and not going to bother going to the field or lake.

Dont think your gains are even going to be close to your old ones! I have her holding ALMOST as good as the NAZA now, still need some more time to fine tune. I would also like to see how she does in higher wind.

This is on a f550 with aeroxcraft LG..F/W 5.12

Basic
170/170/155/155
Altitude
120/120

Havent touched the Advanced settings as of yet!

So what were your original gains on the previous firmware? I'm just trying to determine why mine was swinging back and forth on 5.12 alhtough on all of the previous FW version, 100% was ok, I only changed the gain values before to make things perfect as opposed to avoid a total disaster.

are you using servos that are 90 degree or 180 degree servos.

if they are 90 degree servos then the old firmware already was allowing max travel for you (45 in each direction) and thus the new firmware will change nothing (it is a physical limitation with your gimbal and not a software issue)

if you are using 180 degree servos the there should be a different.

comprende?

yes the Gimble will allow the extra movement, but then as you point out, i must have 90 servos on it, the Servos came with the mount, and can find little to no specs for the servos, but obviously now, they are 90 then, will look around for some 180

cheers

If you have a servo tester, try pluing in your servos there so you're sure it's a servo issue and not something else.

On a separate note and again sorry to repeat...can any one advise on gain differences between previous version and 5.12? the swining behavior is really unusual and I don't want to ruin my copter by trial and error

thanks will try,

on the note of gains pitch and roll seemd ok at the value they previously was, but the same value on yaw, was very soft, it was not locking as solid after centre stick.

started raining, so have not tested much other than that so far, but it didnt seem that bad really.
