Hi LIG....

hmmm.. I like that .. makes me feel as if they are already in production for the market ... hehehe .. I wonder what happens if we send RM ..the total for a dozen of artificial bald eagles .. will that encourage him to build them for us .. I remember the poll result I've made a while ago..it was more than 12 already willing to buy RM birds...

well I hope so .. one day

Unlikely, to happen. Robert is driven by higher levels of achievement. But since you started it ,how much would you pay for one of Roberts Eagles?????
How much do you really think that one of these birds is worth???

Larry, probably you are the only one can afford the price. Hope you get yours soon. Make sure post some clips once you have it up and going. Aren't you suppose to get yours next month or so ?

Sorry LIG, I am building my own. And since I have inspected both the Peregrine and the Eagle, I can tell you that they are way out of my price range. Conservatively I would suggest a Peregrine is worth around 10k.

Hi Larry
Hi LIG

I knew it .. I could almost smell something like that from LIG's post ....but if 10K is what's the Peregrine is worth .. then no I cannot afford that kind of money .. but that doesn't mean it is not worth it ... RM has the right to sell it at any price he sees to be right for him .. I respect that .. I just wish I could afford it ..

hmmm ... maybe 750 USD for the Peregrine , and 1K for the Eagle .. and that's the max I can handle ..with really some difficulty .. this is like more than 6000 USD to you .. since I'm from a poor country .. already.. but I adore RM birds , and frankly .. I consider them not only superior in every aspect, but masterpiece.. that combine very fine engineering, design, experience, passion, clever use of materials, genuine concepts, and above all a wing airfoil never seen before ... I definitely want to own such a precious diamond, ..the only problem is I cannot afford/want to crash it .. .. and at the same time I don't want it to be a static model..

So for now I'm happy that I don't have to worry about both .. since I don't have one heheh

Khaled,
Roberts birds are not for sale, to my knowledge. I based that price on looking at what was involved in producing the prototypes, and the low volume of sales potential.
I would not pay that kind of money unless, I was representing a Museum or a wealthy patron and wanted to preserve one of his models as a Vanguard of ornithopter flight. And believe me We are in this economic mess together, We are all nervous and worried about what could come in this crazy world. My advice is hang in there and fly what you have and when you have time start to experiment and build your own designs. You are then the master with a complete understanding and ability to fly what you want. LJ
