Yes, this project of Wageningen and Delft Universities is interesting as well
and it is a year earlier then University of Florida project but as we can see from the video, UF's project is at least a step further. Also the main goal in the UF's project have been creating of mathematical model for computation of such a wings.

Brain, no, this is just a test. I made the bird of EPP, it has vertical fins and a prop....just the shape is bird like..and really, she flies nice. The dual wing control makes the bird very stable in flight. I'm thinking of making a bigger FPV bird te get more feeling and knowledge about camera flight. I did a lot of tests with camera's on a flapping bird but still can't stabilisize it enough to fly FPV. Also to make that work there is no much distance between receiver and video transmitter to make it work. I do it step by step.

the hoey vulture i have been building is nearly completed i have only used the plans as a starting point it has a prop and a vertical fin.anyhow i like your EPP bird Robert keep us informed regards Brian

a little more progress on the vulture have made a removable vertical fin just in case and the head plugs on and offso i can add a motor for flat flying or the head on for sloping a bit more covering to go
