I looked into water jet cutting for my frames many years ago back in Florida but at least at the time it wasn't accurate enough and it was too expensive.

I just remembered I actually visted a shop in Billings right before I built my CNC router and the guy had a huge water jet machine. It ran night and day cutting large aluminum plates but only did the rough cut. He did the finishing cuts on a CNC mill. I discussed my parts with him and he said no, would be best routed. Maybe there are many different types of machines.

I don't route carbon...I hear the dust us deadly. The G-10 dust doesn't bother me actually but I'm sure it's not good for me either.

what makes that guy think the cog rolling on those rollers cannot wear? he needs a hardness of 60 rockwell to pull that off.

I struggled with that same type of system in 1996 but it was gearing. The concept is not new and it is similar to the "harmonic" gearing I had posted about previously. I had the internal gear but finding a suitable spur gear was difficult. Theoretically, the spur gear inside the internal gear was to have one tooth less, so the output advanced one tooth distance per revolution. The tooth profile had to be custom though so I never made it work.

This new design with the roller pins looks pretty good to me.
