SmitWijs Rotterdam

Just thought I'd share with you my model building.
It's Smit Rotterdam, but I after a lot of pictures from the Internet transforms to the Smitwijs Rotterdam.
So it does not look like Smit Rotterdam was the 1975th
I have some work to build on her but thought to share with you some pictures from the beginning to now ... ..
It should be added that this is my first build, and I've learned a thing or two over time.
I bought the kit in September 2010 and has built a little now and then.

The images can be found at the link.

Nice build up pictures.

What are the differences between Smitwijs and the Smit Rotterdam, just paint?

Also, there is an button on each of your posts.
You can edit them, and add to them, or make changes if they are wrong, but you can't delete a post.

Thanks guys.

Umi Ryuzuki: It's the same boat but there is another shipping company that owns her now and with the years it has modified some. Type, there are some windows that are over-welded, radar on top of the boat is not the same. And the colors. If one compares the direction I even got to the real boat so there is much that is not the same type bow thruster and rudder.

SMITWIJS Rotterdam (SMIT Rotterdam)

So now I think she must be ready. I can work on it forever, but now it'll be good.

I'll send up some pictures of her. Here you go.

What a fantastic build you must be very pleased with her. Do you have any pics or videos of her running? I love the extra detail that has gone into her. Well done!

Thanks for all the compliments.

I've never driven the boat in water. I know it is waterproof and I have the engines but the rest of the things I miss.
I think it's really fun to build, but has never driven a boat in the water ... maybe i should, is it fun??? .
I think it will cost a lot to get all the parts. I do not know exactly what I need in order to run it.

So unfortunately there are no pictures of her in the water. :-/

Excelent job. But a boat like that just has to go in the water and "Strut her stuff". You mentioned having the motors. Are they in the hull and mounted? May be difficult to do with the superstructure and decking in place. Can't tell from your pictures, how much of the superstructure is removeable. The RC running gear, radio,, speed control can be had very reasonably. Hope to see this one on the pond.
