Hope you have the other wing...

What flight experience do you have?

Going to need to see the complete plane... hard to tell exactly what kind of plane it is, if it's a custom design or a "scale" model.

take off on a CAP design...232EX?
one of those planes that people streach/modifly/change to make it fly better.

it really looks like an aj slick to me. if not it's a giles with a f'd up tail

na it wouldn't be a cap. cap's have a different tail layout & they are already very, very long fues's. you wouldn't stretch one in a non scale build. MAC would shift so far rearwards you'd never want to fly 3D in it. (CAP's already have the most rearward cg/MAC of any common 3D bird I can name if they are scale and not sporty/standoff scale)

thats most of the reason they got the "snap cap" moniker in the 90's. that loooong moment & rearward mac made OEM's and builders unable to figure out where the cg should be. most wound up too far back. "because all the other planes have to move their starting cg back to do 3D"

Thanks guys I think I would go for the giles but it's 93inch wing span and one trying to find a nose cowl and exhaust for the 75cc Mackey gas engine on it any ideas cheers steve

cap's are not mid wing, no dihedral planes. they are low wing with big dihedral. the nose length in front of the wing is far longer, as is the entire fuselage. the canopy line is farther back, potrudes farther into the airstream and that is not the tail of a cap. cap's do not have that short, oddly spaced tail.

its not a cap. it's a take-off of an extra. (be it giles, slick, whatever)
