I agree, and Frisbee launch is also much safer.

Surely (if it's ok to call you that ), a UM Stryker didn't make those slices!

Are you kidding? Got it airborne, and was flying it, until I noticed how much I was bleeding on my poor TX. (Doesn't look that bad, but that was some very SERIOUS bleeding). And since I was in the middle of nowhere, had to drove back home to patch myself. Since that day, I have added a small emergency kit in my TX case, so if that happen again, at least I can still fly for the rest of the day instead of going home...

I read good comments about this stuff, so I got it at CVS and keep it in my flight box.

(Flew my Big Q at the club field today. A bit gusty -- all the smart guys stayed home. I was all alone there, so if the Stryker turned on me and severed an artery I'd have to act quickly and be my own battlefield medical corpsman before I bled out.......)

I bought a UM Stryker last night. Besides a bent control horn, to my horror I realized that the Battery/Plane has some kind of funky connector type on it that won't connect to my Turnigy charger. No warning of this was given on the box, on the website, by my LHS, etc.

1. What is the name of this type of connector?
2. Is this a proprietary Parkzone thing?
3. If not, where can I purchase bats that are setup with this connector already?
4. Can I purchase an adapter so I can charge this battery on my normal chargers?
You need this adapter, the EFLA700UM. Allows normal charging with your favourite charger. Plenty of third party batteries available with just the UMX plug so I found this adapter was the best solution. Probably at your LHS but also dead easy to mail order.

If you have a Parkzone 2/3 cell 12V charger, you can get little adapters that convert 2 cell balance port to UMX. However, I tried this and the battery never stops charging. A kind soul on here told me it is a problem whereby the charger takes more charge out than it puts in whilst balancing! OK on higher amp charges but useless for UMX charging.

There's always adding wheels:
F-27Q Stryker with steerable landing gear (3 min 3 sec)

I think it involves adding a servo for the nose gear.
I've gotten bit by the stryker 180too, but luckily just a little cut on the thumb.
