Paint for my field box?

I'm building a field box and I need it to be glow fuel proof. I'm having a hard time finding epoxy paint. They don't seem to have any on Tower Hobbies. Do you guys have a recommendation for a brand of epoxy paint?

Sorry I cannot help with a recommended brand of epoxy paint but perhaps I can help in a different way.

I built a field box myself and just used ordinary enamel. I do not see any need for fuel proofing. I never spill glow fuel on it. When refuelling my models I lift the glow fuel jug out of the field box and replaced it in its position after the refuelling has been done.

Here are a couple of pics I just took of my three year old field box. It's painted with Rustoleum spray paint (primer white and yellow were used) and has held up very nicely. I suspect Krylon would work as well. Give the paint time to harden/cure and you're set to go. Much easier than epoxy paint and does the job.

Soft landings,

A couple of pics of my field box.

The power panel is removable but cannot fall out during transpotation held by the guard at the bottom and the handle at the top. Send the carrying handle to the back and just lift up the power panel.

A craddle fit in at the open top compartment to sit the model and work on it if no picnic table or other facility is available so I can work at a convenient height.

The large drawer can store spare two blade props up to 15 inches.
Plans are in the works to install wheels and a pulling handle.

All made using scrap wood.

TopFlite LustreKote is good for at least 25% nitro. Rattle can, easy to find but make sure you shake the heck out of it and and use it warm.

I stained my field box and finished it with oil based polyurethane (NOT polycryllic)

Did it in 2007.. when this pic was taken. still looks great today

An appliance type spray (pick 'yalls shade of white, perhaps avacado??) is the only consumer available EPOXY paint that I can think of, this stuff wants to be recoated within 5 minutes, otherwise you'll have to wait a couple of days between coats.

Nice look'in field boxes guys!!!!

Klass Kote for the most durable of all.

Will fly for food
Rustoleum solid colors are fuel resistant. The lighter colors are better.

Klass Kote is epxoy paint and available.

You can also paint with whatever color paint you want, and then clear coat with automotive clear. Check with a local body shop, they may spary it for free when they are doing a car, with material left in the gun. Once catalysed, the paint must be used.
