Thanks...will do! I've built several depron kits but this will be my first EPP. Anyone tried the Motrofly motors on this plane?

That motor looks perfect for an APC 10x4.7 SF:

With 200 watts, you should have a lot of fun with the Yak-55!

That is what I was thinking also, just wanted a second opinion! I need to order one up! What is the best flying TH 39" airframe? Is the Yak-55 the best choice?

I fly the SU-29 and someone else at the local field has the Yak-55. Both fly great. The SU-29 might be a little easier to knife edge since it has more side area than the Yak-55. Both the Yak-55 and the SU-29 have a round cowl and mount which I think looks pretty cool, but they can be a PITA to deal with. If I had to buy a new RC-Factory 39" right now, I would look at the RS-352 or the Flash D because of their more conventional motor mounts.

Thanks!

I have been looking at the RS-352 (I just need one or two if each), I will probably order a RS-352. The Thunderbolt printing is really nice!

Just finished my Yak 55 this afternoon and made a couple of test flights. She flew great on the recommended motor and I liked the APC 10 x 3.8 better than the 4.7. Tried the 800 mAh batteries just for kicks...awesome verticals and hover pull out but as you can imagine not nearly enough flight time! Love this plane! Crack Yak needed a break anyway...

Did anyone ever try that Scorpion motor in the Yak?

How crucial is it to use metal gear servos on this plane? I have 3 brand new Futaba s3114 servos and an Hitec HS-65HB on hand. I would use the 65HB on rudder and the others for other control surfaces. Anyone have any insight?

Metal is not necessary and is overkill in my opinion.
