Enyone is flying him whit 5000mAh 6 cells?

Im thinking to buy the 70'inch extra 300 and i still want one but mebe first this one.

I just got 2x 5300mAh 6 cells gensace and 1 hyperion 5000mAh 6 cell.
So i got a few expensive lipo,s new.

And a 70' i want to fly on 8 cell, i want to charge whit 5C so then it is new plane, new servo,s, motor, lipo,s etc etc

Now im looking and i looks like it still flys nice on 5000mAh.
But most importend i got a crashed extra mx from PA.
Someone flew true it......

So i got 4x 5245MG hitec servo,s, 60A continue superbrain esc(turnigy)
and the trust 50 motor.
trust50= 279gram, 487kv
Thit fly it whit 15x7

torque 4016-T500= 280gram and 500kv so its almost same specs.

Only dont know how much it uses on 15x7/15x8 on a 5000mAh.
Dont must go far over 60A because then i need a other esc.

So it looks if i get this 60" i got evrything for it......
Only little heavy lipo,s but it also makes it more stable.
But is all 3D possible whit 5000mAh.

Like electric but you get fast so much lipo,s and after 2 years the are up yoused or not.

I bought two 4000 mah batteries and I'm told they're a bit over sized for this plane. I'll just use them for IMAC. I don't think it will fly very well with 5000 batteries. The one benefit though, is that you'll have a lot of extra inertia.

Careful with that Hobby King equipment...

Careful?
Only esc is a turnigy superbrain and that is one of the better esc,s.
rest is hitec servo,s and trust engine:

Only dont know or the 5000mAh is to heavy.
But i also can try it and if its really to heavy i can get a other lipo.

I have about 5 flights on the 60" Edge with a 6S 4500mah pack. I added
21G on the tail and it flies fine....I can still 3D. Im waiting on my 6S 3000mah packs to come in and the 4500 was all I had.
The pack is real heavy, so Im using 3 straps to hold it in.

Well EF says about 6 cells: 3000-5000mAh.

I get that it is more heavy, but on some figures that is even nice.
But if i stil can do evrything whit it.

I think i just go try it.
and mebe buy a 3000mAh to compare.

But you say your 4500mAh is really heavy... It is just as heavy as a 4500mAh is but how does the plane feels?
Does it stil feels like a light plane?

Learning from experiance..

5000mah packs are way to heavy..I saw a friend of mine try it, and the plane barley pulled out from a hover.. After talking him into purchasing 3600mah packs, he was amazed at the difference 200grams makes..

If my memory is correct, I believe EF is recommending 5000mah for pattern style flying only.

Looks like 3300 to 3600 packs are the magic size for this plane

I am going to stick with the 3300's like in my kids plane...it is freaking amazing

Yep...

Taking orders.. Container is to be delivered Friday and will ship as many out on Friday as we can....

http://www.extremeflightrc.com/html/60Extra.html

Not sure how to post this without it sounding rude.. and it IS NOT meant to be..
but we are a really small company.. and calling to keep checking on an order just slows things down..
Please.. if you have questions.. give us a call.. Happy to help!
but if it is over the next day or so.. and just calling to check on an order... best to wait...
or...drop me an email at info@extremeflightrc.com....
and between helping unload.. tag orders or whatever.. I can check on it and get right back to you!

Im getting 1540 watts....so pullout from a hover is still very strong. I wouldnt say it feels like a light plane....it will do most everything the lighter packs can do. Its not the ideal battery, but if its what you have....use it and have fun.

Hi Guys,

I have a Castle Ice 100 laying around - do you think that would work with a 60" Extra EXP?
Please let me know.

Thanks!

Andreas
