Really, unless you are super talented, or super sloppy, you can't build any of these planes in two or three hours. Besides, if you take your time it is so much more enjoyable. I used to hate building until I made myself slow down, and then it became really fun. Now I buy a plane whenever I feel like a project. it's not like I really needed five MXS ...... Or four Extra.

If I stretch a project out for a week or more, it pays for itself just in entertainment value. It is almost getting to where I enjoy building so much that it is a seperate hobby and flying is another seperate hobby.

Slow down and enjoy it!
Doc,

That's the same advice my wife gave me! OTOH, if you knew how long it takes me to assemble/build an ARF (what takes others minutes takes me hours), you'd know that the "hours" I wrote means about a week worth of hours.

I meant that I want to get it together perfectly as fast as possible while relishing the build and final product!

P.S. BTW, did I mention that my wife is former USAF? So, you're in great company!

This thing looks amazing! Are the stars on the blue one decals? I'm guessing they are but hoping they're not

Not that its a contest but my buddy still leads you. He is on Edge # 4 or 5 I believe. The latest crash is atleast repairable. Totaled the firewall and the landing gear mount.

3 or 4 of his previous crashes were less then 2 flights in. I am not sure of Crash # 5 ?

I believe Coverite makes vinyl peel-and-strick stars. They come on a sheet in several sizes. It would make for an easier job, but you'de probably have to buy more than one sheet. You'de probably spend $20 or so.

Personally I kind of like it with no stars. Just leaves more room for Thunder Power decals!

Right! When I assembled my third 3DHS Extra 300 SR (Quiet! Are we allowed to mention 3DHS in this EF forum? ), I went from 3 days to 1 day on the assembly time.

As long as you spell it right, LOL.

You're right that build time goes down with familiarity. On my first EXP I had to stop and figure things out. Now everything just falls into place.

I was disappointed with my last MXS because the build went too quick and easy! Occasionally I like a little something to go wrong or something to not fit perfectly. If it is too easy it is no fun.

The new extra looks soooooooooooo good, I love the scheme!!! This will be a killer plane,!
I'm in love with the 48" Extra and made ALOT of flights with it. Most of the time bigger is even better, so I can imagine this will amazing.
