Thanks for the website correction. It had been incorrectly listed at 3 amps, good to know it's 4 amps.

Ill give that a try,the lhs has them on the shelf at 25.00 a piece so Ill grab one & turn it back some.

They are very nice servos. Run them on a BEC set to 8 volts or use a separate battery...on 6 volts they don't have any more power than a 5245.

They are also different than the 5245...different case with more reinforcement around the intermediate pin.

60" Extra EXP with new servos (3 min 22 sec)

Just maidened the plane. Feels so much different than the 48" planes I am used to can't wait to start getting comfortable with it as it is so solid in harrier flight. Took some quick pictures of it crammed in my car

I'm having a hard time deciding on servos for this bird, I have a ton of Hi-tec and have been loyal to the brand but lately I'm not impressed, just lost my 4th hs-65mg in one of my planes, they are great about warrantee and service, but that doesn't help with the repair I'm facing on the damage plane. Somebody mention airtronics?

I have the JR 3421's and they have all the torque and power I could ask for. Daniel H. is also running these and is happy with them. Here are some that are similar only faster and stronger: http://www.jrradios.com/Products/Tec...dID=JRPS3711HV

I'm still trying to figure out how to fit humans in a miata! Glad it worked out for you!

I'm also looking for servos... I've surprisingly heard lots of bad things about the 5245 hitecs... I thought this would be the obvious choice, but everyone I go to seems to steer me away from that servo... I also should add I'm not looking to spend over $50 a servo... Any ideas?

So with all the negative feedback on the 5245's why does Extreme Flight recommend them as the servos for this plane?

Received notice today that my Extra will be at the front door on April 24th. These bad boys, 3717HV, are what I'm going with.
