New Years-ish. ETA's are on the front page of EF's website.

"Aileron: Low rate-15-20%; 40-45% Exponential"

It should be 15 to 20 degrees, looks like mistake in the manual. That's a good starting point, just adjust from there until you get the roll rate you prefer.

Lee, in your opinion, for my maiden flight (not knowing what to expect, coming from aerobatic foamies) I thought of putting a 65 Expo...
sounds about right (or too much) ?!

I'm at 35% on low rates. At 65% it is going to feel pretty dead...

If you're unsure about the plane, just to be safe, set the throws to the low end of the recommended range on the low rates for elevator(8 degrees) and ailerons(15 degrees), I don't really think you need to add more expo, if you do I wouldn't go above than 10% more because it will start to effect the way the feel of the plane should be. Remember, the recommended low rate settings will allow the plane to feel very smooth and precise so I don't think you'll have much trouble, where you can get in trouble is on the high rates, just get it up and trimmed out on the low rates and then experiment with the high rates a few mistakes high until you get your settings adjusted to your preference. Honestly I think you'll be fine if you set it up exactly as the manual recommends, it shouldn't take long to get comfortable with it, then just fine tune the throws and expo to your comfort zone.

Thanks Lee, good to know !
in that case, for the maiden, I will use the low rates:
ELE 8 degrees, expo 20 (or 5 more)
RUD 20 degrees, expo 50 to 55 (or 5 more)
AIL 15 degrees, expo 45 (or 5 more)
