I got my hacker hotwing 1200 today. I know it says that the servos go on the top of the wing and the esc, rx and esc go on the bottom. Anyone also mounted these on the top?
Would it matter? I kind of prefer everything on top.

Thanks

So many UMs, so little money.
Nice! I'm probably going to get one of these for my brothers for Christmas I think.

I sent a email to Hacker as the CG on the 1200 wing is way out and If you fly this wing in any sort of wind it is uncontrollable. Very unhappy customer and got a poor reply from Karel. Wont be buying anymore of thier products.

After cutting half the wing away yes. Its about 2100mm instead of 1800mm as the manual states. I have added weight with a bigger lipos. Forget about flying this in any sort of wing with a 1000mah battery.

Just tried the plane with a 1800mah lipo and its still the same. I would say this is possibly thee worst plane I have ever owned. I hate slating products but when you pay decent money you expect a decent wing. Anyone share these views?

Dr. Dave
All planes have to meet the CG. Short planes need it even more than long planes. Short planes porpoise if the CG is off even slightly. Use a CG machine, not your fingers. This is a great flying plane that flew great right out of my hands on the first launch. CG must be correct, so do what you must to get it correct. If your motor is heavy you need more weight up front. Variables exist with equipment used. When one thinks the CG is way off, it could mean they cannot get the CG correct using the equipment they installed, nit that the CG is off.

Cant agree thats its a great flying plane. Like is said I shouldnt have to use a machine dave. If the CG is wrong in the manual then thats not a great start to begin with. I go back on my last point. 1800mm from the nose is not correct.

All I can say, is look at my pictures and video. It does balance. Not sure you know what I mean by a CG machine. It is a great planes CG stand. It is an absolute to get your CG correct. If you are using an 1800 mAh battery you must have a heavy motor. The eRC motor I used was light weight.

You mentioned the CG machine in your above post. The motor I am using is 36g. Not heavy at all. I have added the 1800 mah lipo to try and give this wing some weight to hold better in the air, As it seems to be very unstable in any sort of wind.
