6 Foot Pink foam Epp Yak55

Ok! I've gotten the want/need for something a little larger than the 32 inch yak, so I scaled it up quite a bit, and started on a 73" Yak made out of 1" pink foam from home depot. I started cutting yesterday, and I have the vertical fuse and wing so far. I'd like to make a big introduction blah-de-blah, but I'm on a laptop (For now), so I will keep it short, and edit it when I get a hold of a real compy.

I assume the auw will be under 5 pounds.

What are your thoughts on a power system?
It looks great and cant wait to see how it works out.

One thing to remember with a guild like this, is you HAVE to keep it light. Especially in the tail.
Good luck

No airfoil?

40-46 size motor, 4s, 5 IF its heavy, but I don't expect it to be.
And I will do the airfoil once I get everything cut out.

I don't want to spend TOO much $$$, so I'm thinking a BP hobbies motor. they are Quite good.

I just got the elevator/horizontal stab cut out.

Why?
And what type of airfoil are you planning to put on it, and what servos?

Idk, i just trust bp hobbies more than hobbypartz. they're motors are better, according to my experience. I am going to sand a symmetrical airfoil. I don't know what servo's yet. this thing has huge control surfaces, but this won't be flying fast. maybe something with around 75-100 oz of torque.

I have never used Bp before. And have had AMAZING experiences in Hobbypartz motors. In which I have used before.
Its worth a look, especially for the price difference.
Also, a servo that size should be good.

symmetrical will do fine for this!

I will choose a little higher price for lower weight.

I'm done cutting out the pieces, on to the airfoil (If I can find my power sander lol)

yeah, I agree. I've been using their Rocket motors recently and they are really solid and they've been on sale

With how wide the wing chord is, its going to be more like a wing thats just rounded in the front and angled/sloped in the back.
