Hey Greg,
I'm making a 1/32 scale A4 mold. Maybe I can send you one as a trainer 30mm fan
Maybe too small....

Hi Matt,

Great to hear from you today! We had a blast flying that Valu-Lear. I still have it here in my warehouse at work.

Well, I wasted a couple of days trying to design a wing that could be built without drawing plans or using the "folded" card model type wing.

I finally broke down and decided to draw some simple plans for the spar taper and wing ribs. The whole drawing process took about an hour and was done with a pen and a metal yardstick. Keepin' it super-simple.

Notes to self, and anyone who is interested.

The flaps on a DC9-10/15 should've included the section in red.

The main gear struts are located ~around~ the green spheres.

My first attempt at a "proof-of-(Neff's)-concept" should fly, but I can't wait to undo all of the mistakes that were learned to this point.

Radio and Motors should be fun

I know. I read your thread like scripture. Sometimes I wonder if I have a learning disability, then I realize I'm just a dumbass.

Here's a little update. I got the tail finished today. The elevator servo will be around the wing access and uses Sullivan .032 cables. I didn't get a pic of the rudder servo, (next update) but it's an HS55 flush-mounted in the vertical stab with direct wire push-rod to the rudder control horn pictured below.

What hinges did you use on your control surfaces ?
And are you going to build any wash out into the wing ?

Welcome Sergey!

First let me say that I started this build after watching Neffwaffe videos and hearing that he builds those planes start-to-finish in ~six days.
(nothing like your Tu-134)

While I didn't expect that rate on my first attempt, I know it can be done if you have the parts and know-how. Answering your question, I used small CA type hinges since this is such a simple build.

When I took those pics the hinges were not glued. Since then, I've made new "built-up" elevators that taper to the TE and painted and glued the entire functioning tail.

As for the wash out, I will attempt to get about 1/4" rise at the trailing edge tips when I skin the top surface. That's what I've used on other flat-bottom wings with good results.

I have more build pics but this thread seems like it's on a long bus ride to Turdville, so I've concentrated on building.
