National Air and Space Museum, Washington DC

Wanted to post some of my favorite pictures and favorite planes from the National Air and Space Museum. It's not as spectacular as Wright Patterson in Dayton Ohio, but definitely worth going if you're in the area. Enjoy!

I went a couple years ago (see pics in my blog) and didn't see some of those planes... like the P-61, Excalibur Mustang, Lysander, etc... I wonder if some of them are on loan from some of the Florida museums that were hit by recent hurricanes. It's a great museum... hard to see it all in a day.

*edit* -- oops! I was thinking those were pics of Penscacola - my mistake.

I just watched a special last night about the Horten flying wings and they mentioned this same Northrop plane.
