Is any mod. is necessary 14.7 Xtal change to 16Mhz ?

I own Simple OSD time ago, i love it but the text are difficult to read in a fatsharks.
DIY OSD have a big fonts i like to test it, some info how to are welcome

Thank you very much.

This project looks promising. I will try it next week with my arduino and flytron 10hz gps. Let see how it works out...

Jose A,
That was exactly one of the reason I ended up with such a big font, I found it really hard to read the small text in my fatshark googles.

At the moment the normal SimpleOSD XL 14.6 mhz is not supported. I don't have one on hand, and it would require a little change in the code to support 14.6 mhz.

I suggest you ask Melih as I can't test it. But you might be able to upload the hex-file to SimpleOSD XL.
You should change the serial baud stream settings to match 14.6 mhz, and change align text to 10 or something like that.

By the way, I can see quite a few have been building this OSD and there have been sold quite a few SimpleOSD Opens.

Anyone who have tried it "in air" but mrfliboy (and myself)?

As you say I will ask info to melih about the possibility to load this FW in a SimpleOSD XL edition is a breath of fresh air for this model of OSD

Best Regards.

Sounds good. Have you received my PM regarding the current sensor?

Remember to use the right schematic and low capacitance on the low-pass filter

But it's the same - only the resistor value for dimming and pixel have changed a bit, but you should adjust these to your likings anyway

Hi I made a draft with fritzing. Where should the green wire go (from R2)?

What's wrong with the original fritzing-drawing by thnilsen?

But you can just change the dimming-pin if you want:
#if (dim_on == 1)
// This is used for dimming. can be changed to another pin if you want.
#define DimOn DDRB |= 0b00000001;
#define DimOff DDRB &= 0b11111110;

Nothing wrong with the orginal drawing just different platform Wanted to make the circuit clear for me before connecting everything...

I leave the dimming pins unconnected for now.

Thank for the quick answers.

Arh sorry, a bit too quick.
I didn't notice it was a Arduino Pro - sorry, my mistake
