Heads up for people flying near the Oregon Grad Inst....

I was flying the Partenavia yesterday (Sunday) afternoon when an atractive female rent-a-cop rode up on a bike and told me that the owners of the park area (OGI?) have banned flying of any aircraft "without strings" on the park grounds (I guess control line planes would be OK?. Since I almost always fly on one of the southern most non-improved areas, she thought it was OK for me to continue flying as long as I didn't overfly the park area. I just wanted to let anyone who flies there know of this rule. I've been flying there for a couple of years and this is the first time anyone has said anything to me... R/L

The local soccer fields which lie unused weekdays, and many weekends... have signs
"No model vehicles"...
Thousands of dollars in the budget to keep these many acres green all year round..

RC_Eflyer: Sounds good to me, What day works for you? The weather looks good for the next week or so, if we can believe the forcasts.

sf_247: She looked young enough to be my daughter...That and my wife would probably object!

Hey, guys...Is your fly-in an "invitation only," or could your local Realtor drop in? With an x-250 or something, of course.

I work Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fridays, but Could rearrange to fit schedule. Next week sounds great.

I'll draw up some plans for some kind of schedule of some events.

Terry- There's plenty of room there, I think that I could fly an F5B ship there, there's enough room.

Terry and all other E-Fliers in the area:
anybody and everybody is welcome! We are planning just a simple get together with little or no frills/hassles. How about this coming Sunday (7/8) afternoon? R/L

Darn, This SundayI will be testing 3 electric float models to ensure they work, before going to Pine Hollow next weds for the NW Regional R/C Scale Seaplane Championships. Won't be able to go out with you guys.

How about giving me a rain check...maybe a direct email next time something gets set up? After I get back, assuming I have a dry model in one piece, I could stick something small in the back of the van and just be ready to "drop by."

Yeah, Saturday Afternoon, at Brown Jr. High on Cornelius Pass Rd? I'll be there with my Eindecker, and I'll try to get the twinstar flyable.
