Fly Naked !

Went to go fly a while ago and the HS 65MG on my rudder started twitching wildly back and forth. Looked like a fish trying to swim out of water. I have a brand new in the box HS 65HB to hold me over till I can get a new MG. Just have to go easy on it. It lasted about 185 flights 3 crashes and many less than gentle landings. Can I now expect the other 3 to be giving out soon?

Check to make sure you're not driving your rudder too far. I have mine to wear it stops just short of hitting the elevator. The servo shouldn't be buzzing when your surface is at full deflection.

If all that checks out then you might have bumped the rudder either during flight or during loading/unloading and stripped a gear. Send it to Hitec and they'll fix you up!

In other words - I think you're other servos are fine. You must have damaged that one somehow.

First of all I've bought castle ESC and set bec to 6v. But still 65MG weren't fast enough. And when I moved to 5065 and have done pop top for the first time, I realy felt the difference

the specs as far as torque and speed are the same for the 5065mg and the HS-65mg. If you want a really good servo the Savox SH-0255mg digital is the way to go with 54 ounces of torque.

Battery suggestions?
I have four 3s 2200 55c GensAce lipos, but I would like another couple packs so my trip to the club field feels more worthwhile.

I tried to find the same packs but they appear to be back ordered. Any recommendations for similar packs that are in stock (and reasonably priced)?

Thanks

PS--any additional recommendations for a place that would sell the batts and 47" sized carbon fiber landing gear?

Hobbyking has CF landing gear but the size you are wanting would be two pieces. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=4503
The turnigy and zippy batteries are ok but stay clear of the nano-techs.

May have been moving that rudder servo too far as turnerm suggests. My rudder was actually making contact with the elevator on both sides. Probably have had the pull/pull cables too tight too. Not guitar string tight but they do twang if you bump them. Last flight the other day the Edge was acting a bit strange, thought it was me, guess now it was the servo starting to twitch.

Oh and by the way I have several of those value hobby GForce batteries in several different sizes and C ratings and they are great for the price.
