I believe SteveT was reffering to XOAR vs APC in the sub 13" sizes. Which I agree too, APC under 13" work stellar

I have a plane which runs 12x6, it uses a wood Xoar PJN. I just like them more than the heavy glass/nylon APCs

Wow, that was fast! My new Falcon 13x6.5 prop arrived today. Love the looks of it. Now just waiting for my prop balancer to get here and I will ream the hole and balance her out.

So what are you guys techniques for balancing your propellers? And for this size prop do you try to balance the hub?

Also, curious of what spinner you guys are running?

Are the throws on the ailerons, elevator and rudder the same as the 48" demonstrator? I can't seem to find the manuel for the 48" edge that this thread is about

While Greasemonkey2u has posted it, it can be found in the manuals section under the discontinued section.

It is my understanding that the 48 edge demon is the same aerodynamic package as the original 48 but the structure has been upgraded to handle 4s and the new carbon landing gear.

I really need to get one, I have been putting it off but I need a 48 I can abuse, having a 49 Su-26 just isn't cutting it, I just don't want to break it.

What servos are everyone using in this size of planes? I use hired Hs 65mg and I get a failure every few years. Miraculously I saved the plane every time but I'm starting to think there's gotta be something better???

Your comment of "every few years" already told me what is wrong. Instead of waiting that long, send them back to Hitec every couple of years and have them rebuilt. Small servos don't last forever, and a good 'freshening' won't hurt.

Unless they have to replace metal gears, Hitec usually does not charge for servicing.

Not sure how many people out there are still flying this one but I still fly the crap out of it! I just did a landing gear mod on it and put the carbon fiber landing gear from the 48” demonstrator on it with the original blue pants and it turned out nice! It looks so much better plus it lands and taxi’s so smooth and solid! Very happy!!!
