I just picked up the plane and had the omega 130 motor in it. I have heard some good some bad about that motor I took a look at it and found it to be cracked I would like to know what other motors people are using. I am a advanced pilot flying both sport and 3d

,extreme flight torque 2814 is Mega in this plane.

I have that in my Extra SHP (which besides a few flying characteristics is little different than this plane) and it's a great motor.

I am too with a 4 cell - crazy power.

I'm flying the motrolfly on 3s. The torque motor is also great if running 4s. The kv is too low for 3s.

Working on creating some custom SFG's for this airplane and eventually try out some crazy winglets to see how it effects performance. All 3D printed

Interesting test with the winglets and it will be nice to see your results. They are on commercial planes for reasons that we care less about nor do they fly in any attitudes that we do, should be interesting.

Check out the winglets used on the full size Edge aircraft in the Red Bull air races. On commercial aircraft its mostly for fuel economy I believe but in the Red Bull races it's for cleaner faster snap turns. Not sure the up swept winglets work for aerobatics on 3D but have seen the full size Edges from the race series do some pretty amazing aerobatics.
