Saturday Schedule

Forecast for BFP calls for 30 F at 11 a.m., rising to a high of 40 F at 2 p.m.. Wind forecast is low.

I'm calling for warm up play at 11 a.m., and at 12 noon we'll run a 5 x 2 game I've cooked up that will keep everyone moving and develop essential skills. The game utilizes our sound cart to play a special track. After we've had enough of that, we'll enjoy some all-up last-down, all together.

I hope my thinking regarding starting later is good for everyone. Please tell me if anyone thinks differently.

For either day, here are the Winter Postal Contest tasks:

Task 1 (which closed in November, but you might like it) is the total time to fly eight, 90-second tasks. That's time to launch, catch, re-fly any flight that didn't make 90 seconds, and land after the eighth 90-second flight.

Task 2 is a thirty-minute window. Your score is the sum of the longest flight (5-minute max) plus the shortest flight that you can log in the thirty-minute window.

Check it out at Winterpostal 2012/2013

Yours, Greg

ps: Friday is still my day, although the weather looks mighty chilly. But if you check out the website, you'll see guys out in even worse conditions. Long-handled underwear forever! If I can't fly, I'll shop in the hobby store. Wish I could be there Saturday, too.

I'm planning on being there at 10:00.

For us out-of-towners... which gate, and directions, please, from the intersection of I-25 and Paseo del Norte?

Easiest way to explain is I-25/Tramway, make two lefts to southbound frontage road. While on SB frontage, make first right, proceed straight. This puts you at the north gate, call me to let you in.

five-oh-five tres-dos-ocho 3440 if you don't have it already

Many thanks to all you guys that came out to fly. The cold was TOUGH! but we did it! Special thanks to Jason and Skyler for keeping us honest on our times.

Have fun tomorrow - I'd rather be there than where I'm gonna be, you betcha.

Yours, Greg

As with Matt and Greg, I had a great time flying with you guys today!

In spite of the cold weather, the feeling did eventually return to my fingers!

Jeff and Jason, it was great to meet you guys

I'm looking forward to the next time we can all get together, in Albuquerque, Socorro, or Las Cruces!

Good morning everyone! Glad you had a good time yesterday.

Let's start today as scheduled with warm up play at 11 a.m. and a fun 5x2 drill at noon. This is a practice that involves multiple skills, and these skills apply to everyone regardless of ability. After we've had our fill of that, we can play all up games, and anything else we want to do.

No individual timing required today. The sound track will guide us, so everyone can be flying at the same time.

Well I should have checked the forum before getting here. Is it against any rules if I get some practice?
