Tom:

Come on down! We're going out to the Jornada del Muerto (yeah, that spells "journey of death" for anglos) about noon.

Had a great day out in incredible weather, flying with Greg, Chris, and an old friend, Doug.

We're indoctrinating Doug into the world of DLG -- I brought out my Gambler for him to begin to learn to throw on, and without a doubt we've got another flyer in the mix!

Chris and Greg had great thermalling experiences with a Topsky V2 and a B3, and I had a wonderful time flying my XL3200 for such a long time on just a single motor run.

All in all a great day in Las Cruces for thermal flying!

Good to hear that Chris is flying (again) - hope to see all of you at the AZ Open in February.

I believe the next Albuquerque DLG thing is the 29th, is that not correct?

It that is correct, how about shifting to the 28th, so Skyler can have a chance. Us guys from down South intend to be there.

While we're at it, maybe we can fly the Winter Postal Contest task for December: 30-minute working window, max time is 300 seconds, unlimited throws. You score is your best flight (300-second max) plus your worst flight.

During the weekend of the 15th and 16th, I'll be in ABQ to fly with my dad, who's been there for a month or more without anything to fly. We both have AMA. Could anyone recommend DLG friendly places to fly?

I am going to go by fiesta saturday just for something to do. Is there a special area or entrance to find flyers.

Tims dad,

Hi Norm,
You want to enter the main gate - either from San mateo or the frontage rd south of tramway. Check out the alb soarin club website for maps
To drive in gate you need a card or follow someone
The glider guys usually to to sod farm on sat cause bfp has soccer
You can call me and we can head out
