that sBach is a beast!

missed ya today, Ben.

thanks for letting me fly all the micros today, guys.

That SQ1 was really cool, too! Maybe it's a sneaky way to get me into heli's. :-) lol

Kevin, thanks for the cool pictures above.

Here are some less than high resolution pics of Kevin's nice torque roll down low.

Good to see you all today, been awhile. Bummer on the carnage.
Seems Chris' 59 was asking for it
and as for Kevin's 70,guess wing bolts give up eventually.
Good time anyway. Weather rocked.

It's not an addiction....I can stop anytime I want.

I just need a 58 edge first.

Yes, the 70 is done for at 481 flights. I tried a full power blender with it which was not the best move on this size air frame, especially one as abused as this

The left wing nut sheared off, I think while ripping from the fuse. The wing turned 90 deg and though I was high up nothing I did on controls seemed to make any difference. I gave up and she went into an inverted flat spin, had I added some power perhaps it would have stayed in the spin and slowed the decent, who knows.

Attention rogue flyers

I went out this morning to fly and saw some signs warning of extreme traffic delays 2/23-2/24. I looked online and sure enough this coming weekend is another Tough Mudder event on the old GM Proving grounds. I'm thinking it may be a good weekend NOT to fly

On a brighter note I made a mod suggested by AJ at AEF on my 104 where I mounted a paper towel tube from the chin scoop to just in front of the ESC. The Friday at AEF the ESC reported a max temp of 209 deg. Today (a hotter day I think) I hit a max of 155 on five flights Oh yeah, sorry some of you had to work as it was just a perfect day to fly.

Agreed, a good weekend to take off. I heard today also that it was Sat and Sun. Way too much traffic last year to be fun or safe.

What's up with Monday flying? Do they have any job openings at Intel? Maybe they can start an RV microchip dept or something.

I didn't have to work, but I'm still feeling crappy. Grrr...

Do you think that would be a good mod for the 70" planes as well?

I've not had any ESC's on my 70" stuff get hot enough to worry about. I have done a Depron baffle on one side of the cowl on most of them to direct more air over the motors though. The cooler the better, especially when summer hits.
