1st is a mud pit where dirt bikes and 4x4's romp in the mud
2nd is a area I hunt from time to time

Found a postcard from about 1950 with an aerial view of my Dad's family home. It seems that a pilot would fly around taking photos of an area and then go door to door selling postcards to the home owners in that neighborhood. He would also offer to sell larger, framed color prints of the same photo. I remember a such a photo hanging in that very house. I guess my grandfather was proud enough to buy one.
This is the first part of my attempt to duplicate that shot.

Trying to get an image from the same vantage point could take several flights. The first thing I have to do is angle the forward camera down to get more of the ground in the frame instead of sky. I hope this will help the camera's auto exposure. Most of the footage from this camera was too dark.
Just the opposite was true of my wing camera. I wish I had some of the plane's wing in the shot to establish some kind of orientation. I need to angle it up a bit more.
