Curious Lex or Tom, what sized pushrod are you using in top drive install? I've found the 0.032" doesn't work well in a hollow moldie and have gone up to the 0.040"-0.050" size.

I supply .045" rods and predrill the horns with a .045" bit. The fit is quite snug.

Hey I didn't get any rod in my kit.

Install peg and cut out some excess wire and we are good for maiden hopefully tomorrow. Cutting it close to IHLGF~

Where is everyone liking their CG?

I still haven't had a still air day to really work it out, but I started at 78 and that was way far back for me. I'm currently around 73 and I like that better...

I start around 76 usually and nudge it forward from there. I haven't measured mine lately but I would not be surprised if it's maybe even a pinch further forward than Lex at 73.

Is this plane Futaba "ish" enough? Even the fuse has some color. I guess I better talk to the guy making tails and ask for an orange set to go with the rest of the plane.

Thanks guys. I am at 74 @ 9.67oz. This plan flat out hauls! I flew a Polaris, Validol, Helios, and Fr3ak today. This things moves the fastest out of them all. Maiden was uneventful. I admit,I am not that good of a pilot but this thing made me feel confident in it's abilities to do well against any other plane. The tales still look odd but they flat out work!

Excellent! A couple of new orange ones hitting the skies.

Guys who have these flying, I'd like to hear about what camber settings you're using for different situations. This ship likes to carry a bunch of camber for me.

Any suggestions from you guys on a blade install? This is my first hollow molded wing and don't want to screw it up. Tom's sending one of his blades, and I will save the CR t-blade for the Helios. Just looking for some install tips please.

I do mine identical to Oleg's instructions for the Taboo, for a straight blade. No problems in my wing, and the Fr3aK has a similar tip layup that I borrowed.

You can go buy his Polaris in the classifieds section.

Nope... It's already gone. If I'd seen it soon enough, it would have been mine.

Speed is zero'd with root. Cruise is 2.5-3mm and heavy is 5mm. I like the plane in speed and cruise. Haven't flown in an boomers to warrant heavy settings. Still messing with it. Suggestions Tom?

Unless I'm mistaken, on the Fr3aK it is shipped in cruise position not speed. Speed is then a couple mm up at the root of the flaperons. Or lay a straightedge across the bottom of the wing.
