I recived my Pike Precision a couple of days ago.
The model looks very good, but it needs some small adjustments to slide together smoothly.
But the biggest letdown was that the right flapservo is dead.
It is a good thing that the model came with servobays, the servo came out very easy.
Now I only need to find a new servo.

Do you need to find it? Shouldn't you just e-mail Samba and tell them that
one servo malfuntioned, didn't work and ask them to immdiately send one is working. Isn't this a quality issue that the manufacturer should take care of in this price segment, if it were delivered with servos?

Was it working at first, and then malfuntioned? Or didn't it work on receipt?
If then, I agree, it's a bit disappointing it's slipping through Sambas's quality
check.

Regardsless, this plane flies so well, I am considering a model # 2.

I have offcourse sent an email to Samba, but they are on holiday the coming week.
I never got any reaction from this servo so i suspect it was dead on arrival.

That's a good looking Pike you've got there Ja9!
How do you like the Jeti? I'm waiting for the DS-16 to be released

krvedaa; I started out with a CG around 102'ish, measured with fingertips. Not very accurate, but it works. Model was slightly tailheavy, so after a few flights I added 15 grams of weight in the nose. It did the trick and the model became neutral in the pitch axis regardless of speed. I still have a noticeble amout of downtrim though! So common sense would make that tailheavy, but it doesen't behave like it is tailheavy when in the air

If the plane is a little too tail heavy it will actually pitch down as it accelerates, seems bassakwards but it's true!

I have progressively moved the cg rearwards, thinking this would give me better pitch authority, yet found my controls getting "washier" as I tried harder, and removed more weight, thinking this was the answer. yesterday, I went forwards, or backwards, however you want to see it, and the plane was significantly improved, and the feel of pitch authority has returned, I am going to add a pinch or 2 more, and see how it goes. Will report.

So far, I am very happy with the DS 16.
I does not look like i will have the Precision ready for the Norwegian F3F Championship. I am waiting for new servos for the flaps.
2 MKS servos has failed on me lately.
