Bet it will all work out over the next few days. Might be as simple as someone got sick or went on vacation that works at the warehouse. Their stock level is going down so they must have a set inventory either in house or close.

Did you order anything else with the B-17 that might have been on back order?

Well this is my first ever chat with hobbyking. They love the word 'shortly' I couldn't get any definitive answers...I wasn't trying to be a smarta$$ just sick of no answers and learning that others have already received their package when mine is still being 'packed'

Zoe: Hi, how may I help you?

You: Hi Zoe, I am checking the status of my order# //////. I ordered this on the 10th, and it is still being 'packed'. Can you please tell me why it hasn't shipped 9 days later?

Zoe: One moment please while I check your Order.

Zoe: our USA warehouse manager notify this and your order will be shipped out shortly

Zoe: you can see the updates recently

You: Do you have an ETA as to when?

Zoe: it will be shipped out shortly

Zoe: or you may consider to place a new order

You: oh so today or tomorrow at the latest? Why would I place a new order? Is there something wrong with this order?

Zoe: since there is delay on your order, it will be checked and processed by warehouse manually

You: I see, ok. So should I expect it to be shipped by tomorrow?

Zoe: I can't guaranty but your order is notified by our warehouse manager and will be shipped shortly

Zoe: We will send you an automatic email with a tracking number as soon as the parcel is dispatched from our warehouse.

You: ok thank you Zoe. I appreciate your help. If I don't receive the automatic email 'shortly' I will come back and ask why. Thanks!

The Don

so what did you do to get them to send yours so fast.

Make them an offer they couldn't refuse.

or did the warehouse manager wake up with something in his bed?

I rechecked my tracking last night. Hobby King links you to USPS but when you look at the tracking number it is UPS ground number and not USPS Parcel Post.

I'm not sure if that is good or bad news for me. But the expected delivery date is the 25th for me. That will give me a couple days to work on it before the electric Fly In. Let's hope there is no damage or issues.

Interesting UPS &/or USPS.

Recently ordered some cell phone stuff froma MN/Twin Cities vendor via Amazon -- last time I did a simialr order (not ame vendor) had it over night or one extra day via USPS Priority.

The new was said to be shipped via UPS w/final delivery done via USPS -- some special name for it. Got it just as quick; was worried UPS woluld do normal slow mode.

well perhaps we have an answer:

the box is too big for USPS , the 6 foot wing span may make it
to big to ship --- so they are now using USP which takes oversized
box's so there 1 cent shipping must be costing them

How ever bad news for me I live where UPS don't deliver
when using them I have to will Call and I don't think HK
Shipping has a clue on how to do this

how I'm really confused??/ when Hk frist showed this on there
international site -- I was told that it was not possable to
ship to USA because the wing was one piece and box was
to large -- that I would have to wait till it came to usa
werehouse and also on the HK video I belive it also mentioned
the wing was one piece

now your saying its two pieces, or your is diffrent ,more than color?

Guess we'll know a bit more when someone who gets the HK B-17 and posts a similar photo.

Mine shows that it's now in the hands of UPS, scheduled to be delivered Friday. I will post a report once I open it unless someone else gets theirs first.

I have my HK MB B17 already built up and it is identical to jrb's silver one, same manufacturer. It is well worth the wait and goes together perfectly, yet to fly so unsure on electrics yet but by watching jrb's vid it should be good
