Its been more then a 2,000,000 views, has any one built from plans in this thread?

I have actually built three models from plans here, a 1950 Smeed Tomboy, a 1941 Cloud Craft Mercury, and a Reg Truman Top Hat.

I am now starting on a 70" Quaker Flash.

I currently have four of the models in the Vintage & Old-Timer Plans thread

The Laumer Push-Up was built back in 2007 - power is a Park 250. Covering is Microlite

The Lil R.O.G. was build I think in 2009 - power is a Mighty Midget Gold Series 1-cell. Covering is Microlite. Fuselage was widened to make RC installation easier. Rudder profile was changed to achieve coupling

The Sorta Boy is based on the Tom Boy but has a longer nose to help with the CG and window changes. Built in the fall of 2010. Both the wing span and the horizontal tail are of the larger sizes (44-1/2" wing, 22-9/16" stabilizer) and are structurally modified. Power is 400XT. Covering is silk. Paint is dope.

The Rumpler C5 was built in the winter of 2010. Many changes to the fuselage construction for I found it almost impossible for me to fabricate the fuselage out of 1/32" balsa as shown on Walt's drawing. I also changed the fuselage top profile to allow for smooth transitions. The vertical fin was increased in size by about 20%. The blue covering is Coverlite but I'll never use it again! The fuselage covering is silk. Paint is dope. Power is a Park 300.

I don't think that I have ever followed any drawing exactly but that's how I learn. And this is for the purists

I've built and flown a few shown in the plans thread over the years.

Here's some of mine. I didn't post the plan of the Roaring 20 because I actually made that plane from a picture and memory.

The yellow Trainer master was also from memory, when I finally got a copy of the plan I was withing 1/16 inch in all dimensions.

Sparky is enlarged 10 per cent while the Taurus is shrunk 30 percent.

The Sidewinder delta is stock, just electric powered now.
